"Eddy"
Just under a year old, Eddy is a boisterous young buck with plenty of clowning around to do. He is quite a ham and can often be found throwing around his rope kong or rolling around with a tennis ball. Eddy finds that playing with goofy, easy-going dogs is a great way to burn extra energy as well as keep his social skills top notch. Though he would not mind sharing his home with a care free K-9 he would be more than thrilled to be the center of attention for his new family and settle for play dates with his pals!
Extremely intelligent, highly food motivated and eager to please; Eddy is pleasure to work with in obedience classes. His new family should be excited to take obedience classes offered here at the shelter with him. Not only will they help Eddy and his new owner communicate properly it will build the bond that Eddy is longing for. Eddy has superb bathroom etiquette, is crate trained and does wonderful riding in the back seat of the car. It appears that at some point in Eddy's life he may have had a rather unpleasant experience with men, due to the fact the he becomes frightened when meeting new men. With a bit of encouragement and some treats Eddy will gain his trust and begin to relax. He still has much to learn and needs consistent rules and boundaries to be a well rounded boy. Being the busy body that he is and just a rookie in obedience training, we will not be asking Mr. Edward to share his home with children under 12.
Having had much experience living with cats in his foster home, it is clear that Eddy will happily live with a kitty that ignores him or promptly corrects him for misbehaving. He will not be able to live with cats that will run due to the fact that he will drive them bonkers chasing them for fun. He is a dog that truly enjoys outdoor activities with his loved ones. A trip to the beach or a swim at the pond are some of his favorites. Eddy is a truly magnificent dog that brings much joy to his foster home. Whether is be snuggling up for a kiss, being the absolute goofball that he is or just staring up at you with those gorgeous eyes, Eddy will warm your heart. Given the proper daily exercise, quality time with his family and positive structured training Eddy will carry a life time of happiness and endless memories with his family.
