About this Program

We can help with a personalized and unique consultation, tailored to you and your dog’s needs.

Find answers to your questions and receive guidance and support at this point in your training journey. During your one-on-one session, one of our certified professional dog trainers will help you identify the possible causes of your dog’s behavior and help you learn new skills to keep you and your pup living happily together.

AWS trainers offer help for mild cases of behavioral needs. For more severe cases, please talk with your veterinarian and contact a certified Dog Behavior Consultant or Veterinary Behaviorist.

Months ago, when we decided to find one-on-one training to help us teach puppy Blue some “manners”, we never imagined that not only has he become such a good boy, but how much he LOVES going! Now he attends group classes regularly and has so much fun each week. (And we’re pretty sure he has a small crush on his instructor, Roberta!)”

Types of personalized lessons

Dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities can benefit from one-on-one instruction with a certified trainer. In fact, the lessons are as much for the pet’s family as they are for the pet. Our goal is to keep pets and their people living together in harmony.

If your concern does not fit into these categories, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Puppy Start Right

Start your puppy and family on the path to having a well-rounded, adult dog. Bringing home a new puppy is exciting and often nerve-racking. Find answers to your questions, guidance and support from one of our certified dog trainers. This special one-on-one lesson is specially tailored to puppies 5 months and younger.

Basic Manners & Obedience

These private lessons are geared towards general dog training struggles that clients are having and would benefit from more individualized training than is often offered in a group class setting. Through positive reinforcement techniques and personalized guidance, our certified trainers will give you the knowledge and tools to establish a strong line of communication with your dog and an even stronger bond.

Behavior Concerns

AWS can offer help for some mild cases of dog behavioral needs. Behavioral concerns that dogs often struggle with can include aggression, anxiety, fearfulness or excessive barking. A behavior consultation will analyze a dog’s behavior patterns, triggers and figuring out the “why” behind it all. For more severe cases, please talk with your veterinarian and contact a certified Dog Behavior Consultant or Veterinary Behaviorist.

Fees & Scheduling

One-on-one training sessions are available Monday – Friday during the day and on select weekend days. They take place in person at AWS in our Training Classroom. Sessions generally last an hour to an hour and a half.

Fees range from $95-$130 depending on the type of consult. Follow-up lessons are available as well and cost between $65-$75.

Reduced cost and/or complimentary behavioral consultations may be available to qualified clients of our Stay@Home program.
