The Parent Group

All of us here at AWS are blown away by the amazing generosity of local real estate agent Adam Parent and the Parent Group at Coldwell-Banker. Adam and his team set the ambitious goal of raising $1,000 for our animals between July 1st and September 9th of this year. They sold t-shirts, collected gifts at their office, attended Strut Your Mutt, and donated a whopping $100 from each closing. As you can see, they more than doubled their goal! This tremendous achievement helps pets like Happy — seen here with Adam and his colleague Audra, along with Kerrie Leclair and Stephanie Kelley of AWS.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Parent Group for your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity!

SIS Bank

Thank you SIS Bank for your generous donation to our animals in honor of Cache. We can’t wait to read his dog blog! And we agree – his name is ‘pawsitively pawsome.’

This young lady stopped by to drop off money she raised from growing and selling blueberries! Rose is from Sacramento, CA but spends her summers here in Maine. She was so full of energy and excited to visit with the animals. Thanks Rose!

Norah stopped by to drop of a donation of $63 her Girl Scout Troop raised by hosting a Mother’s Day Tea at the Nonantum Resort! Thanks to Norah and all her fellow troops for their hard work and dedication to our cause!

Brianna & Emilie

We had an amazing donation from Brianna and Emilie! The two young ladies worked together on a school project with the goal of contributing to AWS. They set up tables with flyers and information all about AWS at Cummings Market and Ace Hardware for two weekends! The ladies collected over $830 along with toys, food and water bowls, blankets, leashes and collars! They were so wonderful to meet and you could just tell how thrilled they were to have been so successful in their effort! They even scooted out of softball practice early to bring everything by. We are grateful for their donations and hard work!

Key Bank

As part of their 27th Annual Neighbors Make the Difference Day, several Key Bank employees stopped by AWS on May 24th to volunteer their time and energy to our animals. They helped throughout the shelter, even taking time to bath Jameson the puppy. They certainly found the key to his heart. Our thanks to all the employees who spent time with us, and we hope to see them all again soon!
