Our thanks to Brandon for his recent donation to the shelter. He donated a sizable amount of his own money in order to help us care for all the animals that come through our doors. It’s always nice to see such generosity and selflessness in a young man. Thanks Brandon!
Girl Scout Troop 1860
Our thanks go out to the girls of Scout Troop 1860 from Saco. They arranged to have a tour of the shelter to learn about animal welfare. When they arrived, they brought with them several bags of food and treats for all our residents. Each girl walked in with a bag; that’s a lot of food! We appreciate your generosity girls, and so do the animals we take care of.
We can never get enough of our young supporters! Lucas wanted to do something to help all the animals in our care, so he amassed a sizable donation of toys, food, and other supplies. Here he is enjoying his Hero Tour with his family and Beefcake, one of the many dogs we have available for adoption. Thank you for your generosity and support Lucas, and we hope to see you again real soon!
Our thanks to young Cadence, who made a Christmas time donation to help all of our animals in need. She recently visited us for her Hero tour and had a fun time visiting with the cats, dogs, and even getting to meet an adorable puppy. We appreciate Cadence’s generosity and hope to see her again real soon!
Delaney, Lydia, and Emily
When December rolls around, most people are looking forward to Santa’s annual visit bearing presents. For the AWS, we look forward to Delaney. For over 5 years now, she has been regularly visiting the shelter around her birthday with donations she’s received in lieu of present for herself. This time, her sister Lydia and friend Emily accompanied her with a very generous donation of their own. These industrious young ladies held bracelet-making classes at their school and donated all proceeds to the AWS, which resulted in quite the hefty sum. We are very thankful to all three for all the work they’ve done and donations they’ve made to the shelter. We look forward to seeing them all again soon.
Most people, young and old, simply set aside change they accumulate. They’ll leave it on a table, toss it in a jar, forget to take it out of their jeans before going in the wash, etc. But some, like young Chance here, know that every little cent can make a difference. Chance got together all of his excess change and turned it into a generous donation to the AWS. On top of that, he brought in even more when he arrived for his Hero Tour. Thanks for your generosity Chance!
