The Solon dogs are receiving needed veterinary care and are being spayed/neutered and will be available for adoption on Wednesday, September 4th.
Please note that because of their past, these dogs are not your typical house pets. Many are shy and skittish and genuinely afraid of human affection. Many have not learned basic skills like how to walk on a leash or how to go up or down the stairs. Best Friends Animal Society provides this informative handout for adopters considering bringing home a dog rescued from a puppy mill. It outlines the do’s and don’t’s of introducing your new dog to your home and the steps you can take to make the transition as smooth as possible for the pet. We encourage anyone considering one of our collies to read it thoroughly. We will also have copies for potential adopters in our Adoption Center.
Please visit our puppy & dog adoption page to see which (if any) animals from this case are available for adoption. Thank you!
