Daisy 08/15

Meet Daisy, an 8-year old Labrador Retriever. Daisy came to us as a stray, so we don’t know everything about her past. Since being at the shelter, however, she has shown herself to be a friendly, high-spirited, and active dog. She loves playing fetch, especially when it involves tennis balls, and is always ready to go for walks with her people. From what we’ve observed, she would be happy to share a new home with dogs, dog savvy cats, and respectful children. This outgoing and happy lady would make a welcome addition to just about any household. If you’d like to adopt Daisy then stop on by the shelter today to meet her.

The Animal Welfare Society is fortunate to have volunteers who take adoptable dogs through the obedience classes. They also spend quality time, playing with, walking, and running the dogs. Here’s what some volunteers had to say about Daisy:

“I have taken Daisy out a couple of times recently and have really enjoyed her company. Although she seems very excitable when you first approach her in the kennel, she settles right down once outside and is easy to walk on the leash. She is happy to stop for some quiet time, and seems to love a neck massage and the chance to roll on her back in the grass. She leans right in beside me when we are sitting and gives kisses. A very sweet dog!” Carol

“Very friendly, loves to walk, good on commands, loving, easy walker, great dog!” Jeff

“Sweet, very happy to get out.” Donald
