Lily now Phoebe

I was looking for a cat to fill my quiet home. I came across Lily (now Phoebe’s) photo on the website and instantly was drawn to her. She was shy and a little introverted when I met her but I knew I had to give this girl a home. I’ve had her home for a week now, and while she is still introverted, she has now stopped hiding completely and sleeps next to men when I sit on the couch, and will curl up on the opposite side of the bed. She’s so attentive and always watches what I’m doing. And she loves her wand toys. She doesn’t play for long, but it’s so nice to have a cat back in the home. Although she does her own thing 90% of the time, which is ok, because she’s still spoiled and I’m also quite the introvert so we match pretty well! She’s slowly starting to show her personality and I look forward to seeing her adorable face when I come home from work!

Have you ever seen a naked guinea pig?! These adorable and hairless babies are a bonded trio consisting of a mother, Phoebe, and her two daughters, Miss Piggy and Peppa Pig. While mom is fully haired, her two babes were born naked! Not to worry, though, as this is a trait they likely inherited from their father is completely normal for the breed!

Commonly referred to as Skinny Pigs, hairless guinea pigs act, play, eat, sleep, and behave just like any other pig would. The only difference is the care they need to keep their skin healthy and free of cuts. If you`re interested in adopting this amazing trio, we`re here to answer any and all questions you may have!

This week is National Animal Control Officer Appreciation week, and we can`t miss the opportunity to thank our ACOs for their hard work and dedication to the cause! Local animal control officers are the first line of defense in helping stray, unwanted, or lost animals find shelter and care. They also provide help and information to the public about animal related issues, investigate animal related crimes or complaints, and preform humane captures of animals on the loose. They work hard because they love what they do and want to help the people and pets in their community!

It`s double the love here at AWS! We currently have three pairs of bonded cats who would like to find their happy homes together! Bonded animals are special because they look out for each other, snuggle together, play together and, for most, have been together their whole lives.
