DESCRIPTION:This program is for students in grades 2-8. \n\n\n\nStudents will learn that to draw dogs\, cats\, and other animals\, they must first break them down into basic gestures and shapes. In looking at basic body structure and anatomy\, students will have a better understanding of what makes animal’s bodies unique\, and then be able to take that knowledge to the drawing board. In this session\, kids will: \n\n\n\n○ Learn the basic shapes and forms that make up the body of a dog or cat○ Explore the outlines\, structure\, and skeleton of the animal they’re drawing○ Sketch their animal using these basic shapes○ Paint their animal using watercolor\, focusing on the wet-on-wet technique \n\n\n\nAll supplies are provided and students will be able to take their artwork home!

DESCRIPTION:January After School Club begins on Thursday\, January 4 and runs every following Thursday until January 25\, 2024.  \n\n\n\nDuring Club meetings\, led by our Youth Programs coordinator\, students will dive deeper into animal care by occasionally volunteering at the Adoption Center\, making crafts\, playing games\, and generally decompressing from the day. Students will also be able to hang out with some of our Youth Programs pets and have a tour of our Adoption Center!
