Caprice now Charlie

Here is to a beautiful life! We adopted Charlie from AWS 14.5 years ago when Charlie was just three years old. The rescue group found her wandering the streets of Lakeville, Georgia and Paws Across America brought her to AWS. Her original name was Caprice but it didn't fit her girl boss personality. I spoke with the woman who fostered her before she came to Maine and said I wanted to change her name because it doesn't fit her. The foster Mom said, "Her name isn't Caprice. It's Charlie."

The leader of the rescue group told us about Charlie after I said it would be great to get a companion for our dog, Coco. When we saw her at AWS, Charlie jumped into my son's arms. They have been inseparable ever since.

Despite her advanced age, Charlie runs around like a puppy when it is time to eat. And no one thinks she is 17.5! She knows the secret to staying youthful. She is full of love!
