We adopted 14 year old Maya from AWS, who we referred to lovingly as "Old Lady", on October 31, 2021. She hadmultiple untreated health issues and had been at the shelter for a few months and we didnt expect her to make it 3 months. The AMAZING AWS clinic staff helped us make sure her health was top priority and she thrived! She was with us for 1 year and 2 months before crossing Rainbow Bridge. During that time we made so many memories, had daily sunset visits to the beach, enjoyed camp and outside, got so many belly rubs and lived! We were so blessed to have her with us! We keep her close in our hearts!

While team #awsdog is celebrating their big win (after losing to team #awscat last year), all of us here at AWS is celebrating the support from our community. Amazingly, you all raised $17,904 in one day! This incredible sum will go provide for the dogs, cats and small animals in AWS’ care this time of year. We can’t thank our community enough for their kindness and generosity, not just on GivingTuesday but throughout the season of giving.If you gave to either team on GivingTuesday, we greatly appreciate your support!
