Duke

The second we saw Lucas (Duke) on the AWS website we fell in love and we drove up Sunday morning to find out another family had until 4 pm. We received the call at 3:45 , that the other family did not come back for him. The amazing staff stayed open for us to make the drive and adoption. He is amazing, very popular at the beach, and super friendly with every dog/human he encounters. We truly lucked out, our 4:30 arrival was our first opportunity for a walk and physical contact. It will be two years next month and we are ready to bring home a brother or sister for Duke.

We love our beautiful yellow lab/ American shelter dog, and he has an amazing life here at the beach with his cousin, friends, mom, dad and his kids that love to walk him. He has become the neighborhood watch, and loved by all.
