Sophia
Dear Staff of the AWS,
I’ve been meaning to send in a little write-up and some pictures for a while of Sophia (originally named Crayon) and today I’ve finally gotten around to it.
Thank you so much to the staff and volunteers for everything you do! I adopted Sophia on the 15th of September last year. Back then she was a skinny little 10-year-old stray who had seen far too much of the world and still had some sores and missing fur from life outside. She was very quiet and shy.
Now, nearly eight months in, she’s a fluffy, healthy, purring 12-pound cat with endless energy that loves to play with ribbons and chase lasers for hours every day. Her personality now shines through and she’s fully at home being the queen in her own indoor castle. I’m so glad that I made the choice to adopt an elderly cat who now has years and years of love left to give now that she’s healthy and in a good home.
Please feel free to use any of this as a testimonial if you want to because I firmly believe that adopting older pets is full of rewards and sadly many of them are overlooked. I can’t image my life without Sophia 🙂
Thanks again AWS!
Best,
Rebecca
