Ambassadors Volunteers

The volunteer program continues to be suspended as to reduce the number of visitors to our facility and maintain proper social distancing for our staff and animals. All volunteer orientations, programs and special events are cancelled until further notice.

You’ll represent AWS at events such as family fun days, local festivals, craft fairs, parades, and adoption events. Have fun handing out brochures, chatting with community members about AWS’ programs and services (don’t worry, you don’t have to be an expert), and showing off pets ready for adoption. Most events take place on the weekends, so this is a great opportunity for volunteers who have Monday-Friday jobs.

Ambassadors must be regular volunteers who have attended orientation, filled out an application and passed the background check. In fact, many ambassadors also volunteer at AWS.

If you are already an AWS volunteer, please contact Rachel Levasseur, Volunteer Program Manager to learn more about how to become an Ambassador!
