Birthday Parties
Currently, we are not offering birthday parties at AWS.
Choose AWS to celebrate your child’s special day. Let us give the gift of furry fun, animal adventures and plenty of love and laughter! In a fun and festive environment, birthday children and their guests learn about animal care and compassion while helping pets in need.
Every birthday party includes:
- Party set-up and clean-up
- Use of festively decorated classroom for 2 hours (with access to full kitchen*)
- Space for up to 12 children and 12 adults
- Tour of AWS Adoption Center and time to visit with pets
- Animal-related project (usually a pet enrichment craft or activity)
- Photo shoot for birthday child and his/her favorite AWS pet
- Unique gift bag for the birthday child, full of animal-themed fun!
*Parents are responsible for birthday cake, food items and drinks to be served at the party. AWS will provide tablecloths and parents should plan to bring paper goods, plastic cutlery or any other party necessities.
Standard party is $250. Optional $50 themed add-ons (only one per party) are available:
Reptile EXPLORER Party: Meet and greet snakes, lizards and reptiles of all kinds. The birthday boy/girl and guests talk to experts and learn about all things slithery and squirmy.
Dog RECESS Party: Jumps, slides, tunnels and more – the birthday boy/girl and guests watch a dog go through an agility course and then get to try it for themselves (outdoors as weather permits).
Cat GAMES Party: A very special kitty joins the birthday boy/girl for the whole party and leads guests in loads of purr-fectly fun games!
Many birthday children ask for gifts from our wish list for our animals in lieu of birthday presents for themselves. During the Adoption Center tour, the birthday child and their guests may be able to deliver the gifts directly to AWS pet to see FIRST HAND how their generosity and compassion helps animals right here in their community.
