The AWS Community Veterinary Clinic is a proud partner of Help Fix Me, the state’s low-cost spay/neuter assistance program. If you have a Help Fix Me voucher, please give us a call at (207) 292-2424 to schedule an appointment.

What is Help Fix Me?

Help Fix Me is the state of Maine’s spay/neuter assistance program. Income-qualified pet owners can apply for a voucher, which then can be presented at participating veterinary clinics.  You must apply through the state FIRST and wait to receive the voucher before booking your pet’s surgery.

What is the application process like?

  2. Fill out the form and send it in the mail along with a copy of a benefits letter and a check/money order  for the copay ($10  for cat or a $20 for dog).
  3. The state will process your application and send you a voucher in the mail.
  4. Once you have received your voucher in the mail, you can find a list of participating veterinarians on the state’s website or you can call your local vet to ask if they participate. The state’s website page has a list of participating veterinary practice.
