We often have rabbits available for adoption. From time to time, we even have baby bunnies. If you do not see any rabbits listed below, please check back again soon. Why do bunnies make great pets? Check out this blog post to learn more.
We look forward to helping you find your new best friend and supporting you throughout the adoption process. AWS regularly cares for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and other small animals.
Adoption Center Hours
Tuesday–Sunday
10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
1:30–4 p.m.
Last adoption meet begins at 3:30 p.m.
Closed Mondays for staff training and extra animal enrichment.
Planning Your Visit
For most pets, no appointment is needed. Stop by during open hours to meet available pets. You do not need to complete paperwork in advance.
Meeting a Pet in Foster Care?
Pets currently in foster care will be noted on their profile. Please call us to schedule an appointment to meet them at AWS.
All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. These adoption pages are REAL TIME, so as soon as a dog or puppy adoption takes place, the pet “disappears” from the website.
Complete Dog/Puppy Application Online
Save time by completing your adoption application online before you visit. Applications are also available at the Adoption Center, but we encourage you to apply online whenever possible.
To adopt, please stop by the Adoption Center during our open hours: Tuesday – Sunday from 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm, with the last adoption meet or scheduled appointment at 3:30pm. Penny & Winston now Marzipan & Pfeffernusse
We've had our bunnies for a year and a half now and can hardly remember life before them! They love being pet and trying new veggies, though Marzipan can be a little suspicious of them. Pfeffernusse is very loving and will often groom us in return. Marzipan is a big sweetheart, but remains feisty when the pellets are brought out. We're so glad to have them as part of our family!

Bun Bun
I adopted Bun Bun a few months back! He’s an English spot, and he’s the best bunny! I wasn’t sure if he would change after the adoption, but he just kept getting more curious! He loves to run around (especially loves running through cardboard boxes). He’s the sweetest bunny! He loves meeting anyone and everyone! He loves blueberries (more than anything.) But I couldn’t have gotten more lucky!

Mama now Potato
Potato is now bonded with 4 year old, Bun. They both free roam with plenty of cuddles and treats every day. She is living her best life!
