Monthly Support
As a Loyal Friend, be connected by kindness to each and every pet that comes through our doors.
Loyal Friends are AWS’ recurring donors. With regular gifts, you give safety, love, care and companionship to each of the 350 pets that arrive at AWS each and every month. You – and our pets – are connected by the kindness you share with your regular (monthly or quarterly) gifts. By giving regularly, you ensure funds are always available to provide everything for an animal in need, whether that is major medical care, an enriching new toy, a nutritious meal, and/or simply a safe and comfortable place to rest. You ensure no pet goes without.
Automatic Payroll Deductions
Check with your HR department to find out if you can automatically send donations as a payroll deduction. Even the smallest amount provides regular income to support AWS programs and services. It’s an effortless way to support a worthy cause.
This is a great way to support AWS. By having a small amount charged to my credit card each month, I’m able to give them more than I would otherwise. I know how much goes into taking care of so many animals and I’m glad I can do a small part.”

Community Fundraisers
MONETARY FUNDRAISERS
We are grateful for the individuals and businesses in our community who fundraise on our behalf, who bring much needed funds into our organization and help us achieve our mission, vision and values. Together, we support the care and wellbeing of thousands of pets each and every year.

Supply DriveS
Gather friends, coworkers and/or family members to collect items from our wish list. Supply drives are a great way to celebrate your birthday, bond with your colleagues, or have fun as a family. Be sure to visit our wish list so you’ll know what items we need most!
Thank you for ensuring that all the pets at AWS will have a joyful and happy time while they’re with us with plenty of treats, toys, and nutritious food.
Employer Gift Match & Support
Many businesses have programs to support their employees’ philanthropic endeavors, effectively allowing you to double the donation to maximize your impact on our animals. When you make a gift to AWS, ask your HR department if there is a form you can fill out to match the gift. Many companies will match 1:1, some even more! If your employer doesn’t have an HR department or a formal matching gift program, it doesn’t hurt to ask your boss or company president to help!
If you are planning on attending an AWS event (such as Woofstock) or if you regularly participate in one of our programs, ask your employer if they would like to provide financial support! Sponsorships can alleviate operational costs (such as the expenses associated with renting equipment for an event) or they can reduce or even eliminate program costs (allowing the program to be free of charge). Sponsorships can also be used to provide scholarships for our youth programs bringing humane education to even more children in our community.
Often referred to as “Dollars for Doers,” some businesses support their employees’ volunteer endeavors by contributing to the employee’s nonprofit, based on the number of hours the employee volunteers. If you are an AWS volunteer, check with your HR department to see if you can leverage your commitment to our animals with a financial gift from your employer.
Many businesses encourage employees to volunteer together as a team building activity. Whether doing yard work or sorting donations, AWS can sometimes accommodate small groups. Employers that sponsor their employees’ time helping out at AWS with a financial gift further the sense of accomplishment and philanthropic goodwill held by the employees.
Donate a Vehicle
Have a car or truck that you don’t use? Is it taking up space in your yard or garage? Consider donating it to AWS though our partnership with Vehicles for Charity.
Most any vehicle is accepted, including cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles and RVs! Vehicles do not need to be in new or even running condition. The vehicle must have an engine and be towable. Restrictions based on the vehicle’s condition may apply, especially for non-cars. Your vehicle will be sold at auction or to salvage based on condition, with proceeds coming back to AWS. Your donation is tax-deductible.
