Dogs & Puppies

Thank you for choosing Animal Welfare Society as a place to adopt a pet!

Home | Adopt a Pet | Dogs & Puppies

We regularly have adolescent and adult dogs for adoption. When we have puppies for adoption, you can find them on this page. Remember that puppies tend to be adopted very quickly, so if you do not see any, please check back again soon.

We look forward to helping to match you with your new best friend and supporting you throughout the adoption process. AWS regularly cares for and houses dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and small animals. The Adoption Center is open Tuesday – Sunday from 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm, with the last adoption meet at 3:30pm. (Closed Mondays for staff training and extra animal enrichment). For most pets, adopters can drop-in during our open hours, without needing to schedule an appointment or fill out any paperwork in advance. For pets in foster care (as indicated on their profile), please call to schedule an appointment to meet the pet at AWS.

All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. These adoption pages are REAL TIME, so as soon as a dog or puppy adoption takes place, the pet “disappears” from the website.

To adopt, please stop by the Adoption Center during our open hours: Tuesday – Sunday from 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm, with the last adoption meet or scheduled appointment at 3:30pm. If the pet is listed as being in foster care, please call first. To learn more about what to expect when adopting from AWS and to view our FAQs, please visit our adoption process page.
