Kim VanSickle, CPDT-KA

Canine Trainer

Kim VanSickle has been a canine training professional for 30 years and has has seen the profession grow significantly, becoming more science-based. Her career began after earning her Associate of Science degree (AAS) from UNH. She first worked training police dogs and service dogs, before joining AWS in 1998. At AWS, she has worked extensively with rescue dogs, learning how they handle and overcome stress, learning to understand their emotions and using this knowledge to help them be the best dogs they can be. Kim’s leadership and depth of knowledge has significantly grown the AWS training department to support the training and development of both AWS pets and the pets and people in our community. She enjoys watching the dogs and their owners bond and grow their relationship a little bit more as each class progresses.
