Job Opening: Administrative Assistant

REPORTS TO: Director of Administration

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling AWS’ mission
  • Processes Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Provides administrative support as needed to the Directors including calendar management, meeting coordination, office support and special projects
  • Serves as the receptionist for the Administrative Offices
  • Coordinates office supply and program orders for all departments
  • Collects, opens, sorts and delivers all mail; responsible for all postage needs
  • Maintains and updates all subscriptions and memberships
  • Delivers deposits to the bank as needed
  • Maintains files for general administration, facilities and fleet
  • Remain knowledgeable and in compliance with AWS Personnel Guidelines, applicable State and Federal laws and AWS policies, procedures and programs
  • Supports AWS programming as needed

EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:
  • Prior bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team; ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Solid computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
