GivingTuesday is December 3, 2024. For the eighth year in a row, the dogs and cats of AWS are launching a friendly competition to see who can bring in the most contributions. Your donation to either Team #awscat or Team #awsdog will help your favorite team win the day, and most importantly support the care of all the pets that rely on AWS this time of year.
This year’s competition centers around which species makes the Best Buddy. Throughout the day on GivingTuesday, follow along on our social media pages as our staff and adoptable pets share with you why they should be your best buddy, and therefore win the GivingTuesday contest.
Last year, Team #awscat came from behind to win the day! This year, Team #awsdog is hoping to take back the crown. The fate of who will win this year’s GivingTuesday and be crowned the Best Buddy is up to YOU! Are you Team #awsdog? They are looking to reclaim their bragging rights as champion. Find yourself on Team #awscat? The cats won’t go down quietly and are counting on Team #awscat to help them repeat last year’s success. Together the two species aim to raise $20,000 on Tuesday, funds that will directly help all the animals that rely on AWS for care, comfort and safety. Join your favorite team with a gift today!

What is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 10 years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Please do! AWS is located at 46 Holland Road in Kennebunk, and we’re open 9 am – 4 pm every day. We’re happy to take your GivingTuesday check or cash donation and apply it to your team of choice!
