Welcome to Giving Tuesday, a global celebration of the kindness and generosity of humanity. GivingTuesday was started to bring attention to nonprofits and has ballooned into a digital movement that provides critical support to nonprofits going into the cold winter months.
Here at AWS, our pets hold a friendly competition each GivingTuesday (December 2nd, 2025) to see which species – dogs or cats – can raise the most funds (and therefore win the day!). This year’s competition centers around coziness. Because…who doesn’t want to be all cuddled up with their bestie this time of year?!?! So who will be AWS’ Cuddle Champion – Team #awscat or Team #awsdog?
To participate, please make a gift to your favorite team! No donation is too small to support this fun and meaningful competition. Every single GivingTuesday donation supports the care and wellbeing of the thousands of pets supported by AWS’ programs and services each year, including those who will be spending their holidays at AWS.
Remember, the competition ends at 11:59 on December 2nd. Make your gift count by donating to either Team #awscat or Team #awsdog before midnight. Then, check back on this page or our social media on Wednesday, December 3 to see which team is the 2025 Champion.
Last year, the dogs won (and boy have they barked about their victory all year long!). Combined, Team #awscat and Team #awsdog raised an astonishing $19,819…. Will they hit $20,000 this year? And will the dogs retain their crown, or will the cats win the day?
