When we first met Chester, he was just a 7-month-old pup in a foster home after the shelter environment became too overwhelming for him. Those early days were rocky, and honestly, we weren’t sure how he would fit into our family. He showed some reactivity as he adjusted to his new world, and we had to take things one step at a time.
Now, at 2 years old, Chester has transformed into the most loving boy. He adores his doggie siblings, Crumb and Roxy, and even tolerates his kitty brother, Salem. Watching him grow has been incredible—not just in the way he’s learned to trust, but in the way he’s taught us, too. We’ve learned to recognize when he needs extra support, and in turn, he’s shown us the rewards of patience, consistency, and love.
Chester’s story is a reminder that the beginning might feel uncertain, but with time and understanding, it’s amazing to see who they can become. 💛
