We adopted Juno 8 and a half years ago. We waited hours to hopefully adopt him. We got to AWS at 5:30 am on October 9, 2016 and waited until 11:00 am. Someone else pulled up in the parking lot about an hour later and I had a feeling they wanted Juno as well. I said to my husband, “how are the AWS people going to know we were here first!” So I put a note under the door to let them know that we had been in the parking lot since 5:30am and we were the first car there.
They finally opened the doors at 11:AM and were able to go in and tell them who we were interested in. They let us have time with Juno and we loved him right away. It turns out that the Mom and son that were in the other vehicle that came in after us wanted Juno as well. We are so happy that we went to AWS as early as we did.
Juno is very happy he just turned 9 and is the most loving dog. When he does go to day care they tell us he is the best dog they have, because he gets along with all the other dogs. They have a picture of him sleeping upside down on their website. People stop us on the street and everywhere we go to say how beautiful he is. He loves people and expects everyone to stop and pat him. People do stop and want to pat him all of the time. We are very happy with our adoption and love him dearly. Thank you for letting us tell you our story.
