Sweetpea

We adopted Sweetpea from AWS when she was 9 months old. She is now over 13 years old. Her name fit her and we kept it! She came from a southern state and was brought in as a stray puppy. At first, she was anxious, chewed everything in sight, and jumped on the couch over and over and turning herself upside down.

Her anxiety was high, but that didn’t last long. My tween daughters gave her so much love and attention that she quickly came to see that she was part of a real, loving family. At one point, she was an Instagram influencer with her own following and sponsors!

Sweetpea is now winding down. She has gray hair on her face, a limp when she walks, and we visit the vet more often now for various heath issues. She still loves the beach even though her running days are over. She has been loved and doted on all the years since she came into our lives, and will be until she crosses the rainbow bridge.
