We adopted these two sweet girls from AWS in August 2025. My partner and I were still grieving the loss of our sweet cat Amie over the summer and knew that we had a lot of love to give. When I first saw them together as a bonded pair on the AWS website, I knew immediately that I would love to have them as part of our family. They joined our senior cat Phoebe in our Boston home.
Julien (formerly Valerie) is so sweet, playful, and extremely curious. She begins purring immediately when petted and sometimes even when she is talked to! Our little friend Julien has no eyes and we’ve tried to adapt our apartment to meet her needs as a blind cat. She enjoys sleeping on the corner of our bed, at the top of the cat tree (which she navigates expertly), and on the armchair in our room. She is beginning to be comfortable going on short runs around the apartment and plays with toys on our staircase.
Lucy (formerly Harmony) is the absolute nicest girl. She enjoys sleeping on our desk chairs for hours at a time, watching birds/squirrels in our backyard and at the feeder, and likes looking out the window onto the busy Boston streets. She is highly food motivated and will eat everyone’s wet food from morning to night. Lucy has a chronic runny nose that requires periodic treatment, but is under control!
We love them so much and are so grateful to have them as part of our family and for all the help AWS gave us in adopting them!
