We decided to add a third dog to our pack. Our daughter (7) wanted her own dog and one smaller than the two we currently have. We looked on AWS’ website and saw Vanilla, a bully mix puppy. We decided we had to meet her with her big ole ears and they hard concerns she was deaf, more on that later.
We went in to meet her and they looked at each other. They were concerned because of her hearing issue, but, they seemed elated when we expressed that was the trait that really attracted us. So we met her and took her home that day.
She has been received well by a Doberman Pinscher and a Cane Corso. Our daughter and Vanilla are best buds. We did not realize how much we were missing until Vanilla came into our lives.
Now about the deafness… She’s just cheeky. She’s is in fact NOT deaf. Hard of hearing? Yes, but certainly not deaf. She has been so cheeky and knows it. My house is full of giggles, play barks, little feet and paws running to snores of three very tired dogs and one happy 7 year old. We have loved every minute.
