Before we delve into the exciting activities and highlights of Woofstock, let’s learn all about parking. NEW THIS YEAR: Off-site parking with complimentary, dog-friendly shuttle buses to and from AWS for the Festival, with thanks to the generous support of Kennebunk Savings. Park in one of the satellite parking locations and hop on the bus. Ride in comfort and be dropped off right on Festival grounds. Satellite parking lots are at the Middle School of the Kennebunks (60 Thompson Road, Kennebunk) and Kennebunk Savings Operations Center (7 Alewive Park Road, Kennebunk).  Shuttles will operate continuously during the event.

Shuttle transportation generously sponsored by

  • Kennebunk Savings Operations Center

  • Middle School of the Kennebunks

There will be VERY limited parking at AWS during the Festival, reserved for those with disability plates/placards. We encourage Festival goers to take advantage of the satellite parking lots and please refrain from parking on Holland Road or Alfred Road or in anyone’s yards.  Our neighbors will be grateful!

All About the Food Trucks

At Woofstock, you’ll find food trucks and food carts offering light snacks, hearty meals, delicious desserts and more!  From pasta dishes to acai bowls or sno cones, you can’t go wrong with any of the yummy choices offered. You won’t want to miss any of the tasty options to eat at Woofstock! And we even have coffee – thanks to Lucky Cat Coffee Truck!

All About the Beer Garden

In the beer garden, sample some of Maine’s finest craft beers and ciders from local beverage companies, who generously donate their time and product. Tasting tickets are $10 for 3, with all proceeds supporting pet veterinary care at AWS. Families are encouraged to visit the beer garden together. However, only those 21+ can purchase drink tickets or be served tasting samples. Tasting cups are provided or attendees can purchase a commemorative glass for $10 (while supplies last).

Adding to the fun is … donuts! Thanks to Holy Donut and Congdon’s Doughnuts, donuts will also be available in the beer garden by donation, as supplies last! Rounding out the fun are the Garden’s lawns games. A variety of games like Jenga and Connect Four keep everyone entertained – pups and kids alike!

All About the Live Music

This year we welcome back Woofstock regular and fan favorite Kris Hype, who’ll take the stage from 1 pm – 3 pm. Preceding him are Woofstock newcomers, New Hampshire-based June and the Honey Badgers. We are grateful to these talented acts for donating their time and music to Woofstock! We also shout out to Seacoast Oldies for providing tunes during the event as well, and for serving as our media sponsor!

All about the Vendors

The highlight of Woofstock for many attendees is the many vendors. This year we welcome nearly 50, some who have been with us from the beginning and some exciting new faces! Crafters, makers, nonprofits and local businesses fill the Festival grounds with unique products, pet-friendly gifts, art, dog treats, 3D creations and much more!

Amongst the vendor tents, you’ll find one of two chill stations, for dogs and people to cool off and rest. This one sponsored by Maine Community Bank will feature kiddy pools for pups and cool water and shade for people and pups.

All About Zone Activities

Agility Zone

Of course, a dog-friendly Festival has activities for dogs, in the Festival’s Agility Zone! AWS’ Canine Training classroom is open as a place to chill (literally since it’s indoors and has air conditioning) and a place to check out training equipment. Our trainers and volunteers will be on hand to lead you and your dog through an agility course, which is accessible to dogs of all ages and abilities! So don’t be shy! If you’ve never done agility before or if your dog is a pro, at Woofstock, all pups are champions!

Vet & Pet Services Zone

More than a dozen vendors who cater to our furry friends, including veterinarians, groomers, day care facilities and more! Title Sponsor MVMC will be hosting a dog parade at 1 pm, with prizes for gift card prizes for shortest dog, tallest dog, best trick, and best smile. Be sure to sign up to join the parade at the MVMC Booth. Additionally, in this Zone you find the second Chill Station, this one sponsored by Mainely Veterinary Dentistry. There will be shade and cold water for pups and humans as well as tennis ball find it games for the pups.

Kids Zone

Woofstock’s Kids Zone is hopping – literally! In fact, the bounce house is the star attraction! Children can also get temporary tattoos, face paint and stickers and color their very own Woofstock logo. There are also games and other fun activities.

A nearby sensory zone provides a calm respite for those needing a break, where quiet activity goody bags are provided by Southern Maine Hospital for Small Mammals, in honor of the quiet nature of pet bunnies and guinea pigs.

Thank Yous!

Woofstock wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of so many, including our many sponsors, whose support keeps the Festival free of charge and provides funds for pet veterinary care here at our Community Veterinary Clinic.

Woofstock also wouldn’t be possible without our amazing group of event staff and particularly event volunteers. To those who choose to spend a Saturday summer with us, thank you! Thank you for keeping Woofstock running smoothly and making it the place to be the last Saturday in July! We couldn’t do it without you!

To our musicians donating their time and talent, to our beer garden participants donating the beverages, to so many other kind and generous individuals, groups and businesses, thank you! Woofstock is a true community event, and we are grateful to all who play a role.
