Our Adoption Center is full, Full, FULL and we need you to adopt, Adopt, ADOPT! So we’re concluding our Summer of Love with a Labor Day Weekend Adoption Promotion! We have reduced* our adoption fees – for a limited time only! So now is the time to adopt! When our current pets (especially our dogs) find a new home, we have the room to help even more animals!
The promotion starts Thursday, August 28 and ends Sunday, August 31. Adoption Center hours: 10 am – 12:30 pm; 1:30 pm – 4 pm. Closed Mondays (including Labor Day).

Can’t adopt but want to help this Labor Day Weekend?
1. Become a foster family: We have many, Many, MANY large dogs who would love to have a foster home for a little while. If you have no other pets and want to make a difference, we can use your help!
2. Make a donation: Your kindness means the world to the 100+ pets we care for every day, so please consider making a gift to support our work!
3. Order off our wish list: We got through a lot Lot LOT of food when we have a full house like we do right now (not to many our many pets in foster care). Consider purchasing a bag of dog food or a case of cat food from our Chewy, Amazon or Walmart wish lists. Your donation will be shipped right to our doors! Or you can drop off food or supplies anytime during our open hours. Find the convenient green wagons outside the Adoption Center or come on in to say hi and drop off your items!
Labor Day Weekend Adoption Promotion Details:
- The fees posted on our website are the full adoption fee. The promotional discount will be applied during the adoption check out process.
- Adoption fee reductions vary by species, age and location. Discounts do not apply to all animals.
- Adoption promotion starts on Thursday, August 28 at 10 am when we open and ends on Sunday, August 31 at 4 pm when we close. We are closed Labor Day.
- The Adoption Center is open 10 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 4 pm, with the last adoption appointment at 3:30 pm.
- Please note that some pets are in foster care, in which case, an appointment must be scheduled to meet them at AWS.
