Some people say I’m independent, others say I’m particular. I prefer to think of myself as a cat who knows what she likes. I’m Coco, an adoptable cat at AWS with clear boundaries, a big personality and no interest in pretending to be someone I’m not. If you’re looking for a cat who values her personal space, appreciates a predictable routine and forms meaningful connections on her own terms, I think we should get to know each other.
Understanding Boundaries
One thing you’ll learn about me pretty quickly is that I know exactly what kind of home I’m looking for. I prefer to be the only pet, and I’d be happiest in a home with adults or older kids who understand that not every cat wants to be the center of attention all the time. I like having my own space, my own routine and the freedom to decide how I spend my day. Some cats want to be everyone’s best friend. I prefer to be selective, knowing my boundaries, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Trust is Earned

The best relationships take time, and I’m no exception. I won’t necessarily be your best friend on day one, but if you give me patience and respect my boundaries, you’ll earn something special. When I decide you’re part of my circle, it means something. Building trust isn’t about rushing, it’s about learning each other’s routines, understanding each other’s signals and creating a bond that grows naturally. If you appreciate a cat like me, you know that the journey is a part of the reward.
The Right Match Matters
I know I’m not the perfect cat for every home, and that’s okay. I’m looking for the right home. The kind of home where people appreciate a cat with confidence, independence and a little bit of sass. A home where I can be myself without having to worry about my boundaries. In return, you’ll get a companion with a unique personality, plenty of charm and a relationship that feels truly earned. If you’re looking for a cat who knows herself and isn’t afraid to show it, I might just be your perfect match.
