Open to puppies under 5 months old.

Puppy Learn & Play is a series of one-time sessions that tackle the basics of raising a puppy and includes a mix of socialization, obedience training, life skills, play and fun!

Each session will cover a unique topic that includes training skills and obstacles, with a Q & A at the end. Sessions run in four-week increments – pick and choose the sessions you and your puppy will attend or attend them all!

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆!
Did you know that we have a resident Goldendoodle here at AWS? Bowie, who works alongside his mom in our Youth Programs, is a friendly, fun, and outgoing guy who takes his job very seriously. He listens to stories during Rescue Readers, entertains children during Furry Tales, and educates students during Muttigrees... all with a wagging tail! And recently, Bowie has been put in charge of leading a parade!

Join us this Saturday, May 4 on Water Street in downtown Kennebunk for their annual May Day parade! Bowie, who will be walking next to his mom Miss Amanda, will be sporting a bowtie and encouraging children and their families to march with AWS! Participating kids will receive a sticker and a new cloth backpack. Lineup starts at 12:30 pm, and the parade kicks off at 1:30pm. Bowie hopes to see you there!

Calling all local families and lovers of parades! @awsyouth has a new fun and family-oriented program that’s marching its way to you: Youth Parade Brigade! March with Youth Programs Coordinator, Miss Amanda, and her resident doodle puppy, Bowie, behind the AWS van during the local community parades!

The first upcoming Youth Parade Brigade will be happening Saturday, May 4th in downtown Kennebunk in celebration of May Day! The Brigade will begin to meet at 12:30pm on Water Street in Kennebunk and start to lineup in preparation for the parade to march at 1:30pm. Make sure to look for our colorful AWS van!
