My family and I welcomed Piper, fka Jammy, into our family back in February this year. We recently had to put down our loving kitty Stewie after nearly 13 years due to kidney problems, so we were heartbroken. We kept looking for kittens until Jammy, now known as Piper (we got the name from WWE legend Rowdy Roddy Piper), showed up at AWS. I convinced my mother to get to AWS early like it was Black Friday at Best Buy to line up and get there first, and the past 9 months or so with Piper has been incredible. She is the most curious, friendly, hyper active, goofy, loving and snuggly kitten I think I've ever seen. She loves to climb on EVERYTHING and swing from curtains like she is Tarzan on a vine. We love you Piper!

While team #awsdog is celebrating their big win (after losing to team #awscat last year), all of us here at AWS is celebrating the support from our community. Amazingly, you all raised $17,904 in one day! This incredible sum will go provide for the dogs, cats and small animals in AWS’ care this time of year. We can’t thank our community enough for their kindness and generosity, not just on GivingTuesday but throughout the season of giving.If you gave to either team on GivingTuesday, we greatly appreciate your support!
