Tex (adopted July 2022) and Lenore (adopted August 2021) are an absolute delight.
Lenore and I lost our first kitty friend, Poe (adopted October 2020) after an unknown illness swept through him very quickly in the Spring of 2022.
While Lenore is a dear, sweet, perfect little angel, she is not the most cuddly cat. Poe was my snuggler and I missed him dearly.
I started by fostering Tex to see how accepting Lenore would be and after a few weeks, they were playing and getting along pretty well. Tex is also a very snuggly boy and so he stayed.
Now, over two years later, they get along wonderfully. They play, they cuddle and they both often sleep on top of me – it's absolutely wonderful. One of my favorite things is to be tucked in on a cold, rainy/snowy day under a 'blanket of cats'. They are the sweetest, softest little friends and it's a complete joy to come home to them everyday.
And, if you're wondering – Yes, Tex is a great example of your typical orange cat. The brain cell isn't always there and he will cause enough trouble to make you want to pull your hair out but as soon as he looks deep into your soul with his sweet, loving eyes, all of the trouble will be forgotten and you will be back under his love spell. Lenore and I fall for it every time.
