Vincent now Seger

I adopted Seger (Vincent prior to adoption) in December of 2020 and he will be turning 6 years old this year. When I first walked into AWS he was laying on a dog bed in the back of his area. He was the only dog not running up looking for attention from possible owners. I immediately asked staff if I could see him and he was so scared that the staff was kind enough to put me in a room with him where we could be alone in a calm environment, (he wasn’t into the hustle and bustle of people everywhere). It didn’t take me but a few seconds to realize this was the dog that was going to come home with me.

Seger has been the most amazing dog and he’s no longer scared of everything. He enjoys long car rides as long as the window is open (regardless of weather or temperature outside) he has been my not so little sidekick. He goes everywhere with me literally including the bathroom. He is very relaxed and understanding with our kids. If we’re playing dress up Seger’s included and he’s just so happy for anyone’s attention. I love my little adventure puppy. He sets the bar for any dogs I plan to have in the future. He’s my best friend and I can’t thank AWS enough for making the adoption process go so smoothly.
