Oral health is an important part of your pet’s overall veterinary care. Just like in humans, plaque and tartar can build up on animals’ teeth and gums. That can cause periodontal health issues (not to mention bad breath!). Since pets don’t brush and floss daily by themselves, we must help our pets keep their mouths and teeth healthy. Veterinarians often suggest that your pet get a “dental.” A dental is an anesthetized procedure that can include everything from a cleaning/polishing to a full mouth extraction, depending on your pet’s needs.
Following along here on our blog and on social media throughout Pet Dental Health Month. We will share important facts and advice for keeping your pet’s mouth and teeth healthy!
Goody Bags
Additionally, our Community Veterinary Clinic is offering a special goodie bag of dental health related products to anyone whose pet has a dental in February or who calls to schedule a dental in February (as supplies last, this monty only). The bag will include Vetradent products such as plaque-reducing water additive and dental treats.
