We have reduced our adoption fees by 50% for adult dogs (6 months and older) to bring on more winter wags & warm hearts! Adoptions during this special will also include a discount coupon for a canine training class or one-on-one lesson right here at AWS!
Just think of all of the fun you can get up to this winter, snow zoomies, long walks in the woods, enriching training classes, and of course, lots of cozy snuggles on the couch! When you adopt from AWS, our current residents find new homes which opens up our kennels to help even more animals. And this winter, more than ever, there are so many dogs who need our help!
Adoption Center is open Tuesday – Sunday from 10 am – 12:30 pm; 1:30 pm – 4 pm, with the last adoption appointment at 3:30pm. Adoption Center is closed Mondays.

Can’t adopt but want to help this weekend?
1. Become a foster family: Some of these dogs would love to have a foster home for a little while. If you have no other pets and want to make a difference, we can use your help!
2. Make a donation: Your kindness means the world to the 100+ pets we care for every day, so please consider making a gift to support our work!
3. Order off our wish list: We got through a lot Lot LOT of food when we have a full house like we do right now. Consider purchasing a bag of dog food or a case of cat food from our Chewy, Amazon or Walmart wish lists. Your donation will be shipped right to our doors! Or you can drop off food or supplies anytime during our open hours. Come on in to say hi and drop off your items! (Please do not leave things outdoors when we are not open. We appreciate it.)
Winter Wags Adoption Promotion Details:
- The fees posted on our website are the full adoption fee. The promotional discount will be applied during the adoption check out process.
- Adoption fee reductions vary by species, age and location. Discounts do not apply to all animals.
- Adoption promotion starts on Friday, January 30 at 10 am through Sunday, February 8 at 4 pm.
- The Adoption Center is open 10 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 4 pm, with the last adoption appointment at 3:30 pm.
- Please note that some pets are in foster care, in which case, an appointment must be scheduled to meet them at AWS.
