Cleo’s Favorite Toys
Hi everyone! My name is Cleo! I’m so excited – like, super-duper excited to meet you! I am a two-year-old dog here at AWS who’s been described as a “ball of energy” and wants to spend all day playing. My friends at AWS picked me as this week’s Pet of the Week to share why playtime and toys are my absolute favorite things in the world!!
Stuffed Toys Full of Fun
One of my favorite toys is a good stuffie! While I may be known to make a bit of a mess with them, I have so much fun chewing on them and giving a good shake while I carry them in my mouth. Plush toys help keep my mind active when I’m chewing, tossing and playing with them. Some stuffies can be soothing for dogs, offering them comfort and relief! For me, I just love the feeling they give while playing! Throw in a squeaky stuffie and now we’re talking!
Having a Ball
Plenty of dogs such as myself can attest to how wonderful playtime with a ball is! When a ball is out it usually means it’s time for one of my favorite games: fetch! A fantastic game that keeps my mind and body busy while I chase after a ball and bring it back just to chase after it again. I always have an absolute ball getting the chance to play fetch! It’s one of the many ways I get to have fun and bond with my people through play.
A Tasty Toy
Another toy that I can’t get enough of is a puzzle toy filled with peanut butter! Putting peanut butter in a toy that’s particularly challenging is a perfect way for me to find mental stimulation while enjoying a tasty treat. The consistency in peanut butter means it won’t be a quick and easy treat, so I’ll have to work for it – and I don’t mind! This stimulating and delicious toy is so much fun.
Everyone’s Best Friend Cleo
Now that you’ve heard all about my favorite toys, it’s time to tell you more about me! Besides the joy I have playing with toys, I also love to spend time outdoors. I’m quite the busy bee who likes to stay active, so I love a good walk or time outside to run around! I’m already crate and housetrained and used to sleeping in the crate at night.
While I have a lot of energy and love to give, I find my personality and play doesn’t mesh well with cats, so I’d do best in a home without them. I can’t wait to bring my fun and energetic personality to my new family. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting, come by the Adoption Center or call (207) 985-3244 and ask for Cleo!
