When it comes to bringing home a new puppy, there are a lot of things to consider and a lot to do to make Puppy happy and healthy in their new home. AWS is the resource for all your puppy needs. So in honor of National Puppy Day, we share the following ways we can help you and your new puppy thrive together.
Veterinary Care
We are accepting new patients! If you’re looking for a veterinarian for your new fluffy family member, establish care at the AWS Community Veterinary Clinic. Visit our website to fill out a new patient request form to get started.
Spay/Neuter
AWS’ Community Veterinary Clinic offers spay and neuter surgeries five days a week. Additionally, you do not have to be an established client to utilize our services. Plus our prices can’t be beat! Learn more about our services on our spay/neuter page. Then Email or call our Clinic (M-F) at (207) 292-2424 to set up Puppy’s spay or neuter appointment.
Puppy Kindergarten
One of the best ways to bond with a new puppy is through group training classes. Not only does pup learn basic skills, you learn how to communicate with each other. Plus Puppy gets to make new friends and you get to meet fellow puppy parents. We have Puppy Kindergarten classes starting in April so enroll today!
Socialization
While not taking place on National Puppy Day, we have a fun puppy specific program coming up next Sunday: Puppy Adventurer. During this one-time, pop-up session Puppy can go on a mini-indoor adventure: tackling fun obstacles, explore new sights and sounds, and play interactive training games! From wobbly platforms to surprising textures, every challenge is designed to help Puppy grow brave and curious.
Behavior Concerns
Having trouble getting Puppy to listen? Potty training not going well? Not sure if a group class is right for you? Consider taking a one-on-one lesson with one of our certified trainers. Help Puppy step off on the right paw with training and skills building tailored to what you specifically need as pet parents. In fact, private consultations are available 7 days a week. Gear, Games & Toys
What better way to celebrate National Puppy Day than a little shopping trip! Looking for a harness or leash and collar set? Wants some fun new toys for Puppy? Need some tasty training treats? Stop by the AWS Adoption Center lobby to peruse our large selection of leashes, collars, harnesses, toys, treats and games! Puppy will surely pick out his favorite! Open seven days a week, 10 am – 4 pm.
