Youโ€™ve been working hard to train the dog, but donโ€™t forget the kids! From a young age, you can instill the basics of respecting animals and understanding their boundaries. Involve your child in appropriate basic care activities such as filling Kongs and keeping the water bowl full. Encourage and supervise structured games such as fetch. This is a great week to play inside or outside with your pets and your kids to work on these skills. And always practice positive reinforcement training.

These are great things to work on while the kids are home on break!

If your child is age 9 or above, and your dog has already taken a class with us, you can even sign up for our Junior Dog Trainers program, starting in January!
