These heartbreaking stories represent the work AWS handles every day. While it is natural to think these stories end in sadness, suffering and pain, they all have happy endings because of our supporters.
Because of the kindness and generosity we receive from our community, these four pets — and so many more — had a safe place to turn to when times seem hopeless. Imagine if they didn’t have a resource to turn to?
Derrick needed extensive medical care, including multiple surgeries, treatments and procedures. Lola needed a specialty diet and medicated baths due to skin allergies. Riva & Ravi, as a bonded pair, needed extra space, attention and time as they decompressed after the upheaval of losing their person.
All together, these pets spent months in our care. They needed significant resources to prepare them for their second chance at happiness, health and love. And, ultimately, because of our community’s unwavering support, all four found love and a home to call their own. We don’t imagine happy endings, we know they can be true, thanks to you!
