I’m Legacy, and right now I’m spending my days at the Kennebunk Free Library.
There are plenty of things I enjoy here — windows, bugs to monitor, cozy nap spots and lots of visitors — but my favorite part?
The kids.
Kids Are My People
I really, really like kids.
When they come by to visit, I’m interested. I’m curious. I want to know what they’re doing and be part of the action.
There’s something about their energy that just works for me.
I may not always want to be scooped up or immediately petted by everyone I meet, but I genuinely enjoy being around kids and sharing space with them.

A Very Busy Library Schedule
My mornings usually begin with bug patrol at the window.
The fact that there’s glass between me and the bugs is, frankly, irrelevant.
After that, I may squeeze in a nap before getting back to the important work of greeting visitors and keeping tabs on everything happening around me.
My Preferred Love Language
I can be a little particular about physical affection, especially when I’m still getting to know someone.
That’s where my emotional support wand toy comes in.
Dangle it nearby and I’ll come running over to rub against it, purr and show you just how social I can be.
And the more time I spend with you, the more likely I am to start rubbing against your legs and seeking you out on my own.

Ready for My Next Chapter
I’m curious, social, playful and happiest when I can be part of what’s going on — especially if there are kids involved.
I’m looking for a family that understands I may want to build trust at my own pace, but also sees how much I enjoy connection, company and being included.
If your home has kids, activity and room for one very charming library cat, I think we should meet.
Come visit me at the Kennebunk Free Library.
Maybe I’m the next chapter your family has been waiting for.
