Junior Dog Trainers

Empowering Kids Through Dog Training!
Where kids learn responsible pet ownership and positive animal interaction.
In this 5 week class (week 1 is for humans only), our experienced trainer guides children through the process of understanding dog behavior and dog body language. With a hands-on approach, kids actively participate in leash training, agility exercises, and even basic trick training. Join us for a tail-wagging good time filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of connecting with our four-legged friends!
Prerequisite: Open to dogs who are graduates of AWS Basic Training, an equivalent obedience/manners group class or permission from the instructor. Children must be at least 9 years of age and be accompanied by an adult.

As the saying goes, “good things come in pairs,” and we have a lot of bonded pairs here at AWS! What’s a bonded pair? It’s two pets that came in together (from the same home) and enjoy being together. Thus, we adopt them out together so they can continue their relationship and bring each other joy and comfort.
OJ & Blossom are one of these bonded pairs that are looking to find their new home together! These sweet guinea pigs love to be around each other and share a leaf of lettuce. They are certainly happier together!

"Charlie is doing great in his new home! After having to say goodbye to our last dog in September `23, we met Charlie in February and fell instantly in love. He’s a big, smart, playful, high-energy pupper! It took a few months for him to really get comfortable with us, but now he’s happy and settled in. He loves playing fetch in the yard, keeping watch for squirrels and pedestrians, and snoozing with his people. We’re so happy that this sweet, beautiful boy is part of our lives!"
