Hi everyone, it’s Daisy here, your holiday safety advisor! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some holiday safety tips with you. Together, we can make sure that you and your furry friends stay happy and healthy this holiday season!! So, follow along for Daisy’s Holiday Safety Tips:

Create a Safe Space for Pets

One way to keep your pet happy during the holiday season is to create a safe space for them! Find a comfortable area away from the action with bedding, white noise and calming scents to help pets relax and recover from overstimulation. For some of us, all of the hustle and bustle that comes with the holiday season can be overwhelming! So, giving us a space that we feel comfortable in for the day helps us feel happy!

Maintain Routines During Holidays

Along with creating a safe space for pets, it’s also important to maintain routines with your pet during the holiday season! Keeping familiar routines helps your pet feel safe. No matter how busy the holiday gets, make time for your pet’s usual walks, playtime and meals! We really appreciate our routines, and they help us feel like the day is normal even if it’s not!

Limit Access to Food & Belongings

While you likely already have an eye on your pet during mealtimes, it’s even more important to be mindful of the space during the holiday season! Keep pets away from counters and tables to stop them getting unsafe food. Manage the space and keep your pets in their safe space! Also, be sure to ask your guests to keep their bags and other belongings out of reach.
