Daisy’s Special Gifts

Hey everyone, it’s me again – Daisy! You may recognize my face, as I am one of AWS’ longest residents. I’ve been at AWS for over 200 days now, and I’ve learned a lot about myself! And, as it’s the holiday season, I thought I could tell you about what makes me special! So, for this week’s Pet of the Week, learn all about Daisy’s special gifts!

Daisy’s Special Gift of Love

One of my many special gifts I hope to share with my new family is my loving personality! My favorite thing in the world is to snuggle right up to you. I could be the dictionary definition of a cuddle bug, and I wouldn’t change my love for cuddling for anything! While I may not be lap dog sized, that doesn’t stop me from squeezing onto your lap. So, if you’re looking for a lovable dog version of a weighted blanket, I think I could be the new snuggle buddy for you!

Daisy’s Special Gift of Fun

Along with my loving personality, I am known for being quite the goofball. My many dog daters and my fosters have pointed out the very quirky looks I make at them, as well as how silly I can be! I am sure to keep you endlessly entertained with my antics, whether we’re snuggled up together or out on an adventure. My special gift of fun is great for everyone, and I can’t wait to share in all sorts of fun with my new family.

Daisy’s Special Smarts

In addition to my special gifts of love and having a ball, I am also quite the smart gal! You see, I am about as treat motivated as they come. So, I have combined that with my smarts to learn some pretty fun things! I listen very well (particularly when treats are involved) and love to learn new tricks. I am very excited at the chance to be taught new things by my new family! My friends at AWS say I am a great candidate for the Canine Training program.

Now that you’ve learned about my special gifts, let me tell you about some of my preferences for a new home. I would like to be the only pet in the home, but I have so much snuggles and fun to go around it will be more than enough! I also would prefer a home with adults and older kids only, without a lot of hustle and bustle. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting, come by the Adoption Center or call (207) 985-3244 and ask for me, Daisy!

Make their wish come true this holiday season! For the pets who have been with us the longest – EddieBentleyDaisyKimber and the guinea pigs – let’s find them a home for the holidays. Adopt!
