Meet Her Royal Highness: Queen Theadora

Greetings, humans. I am AWS’ Pet of the Week and I’m here to tell you I’m the most beautiful cat in the land! You may call me Queen Theadora. Keep reading to find out why YOU must adopt ME!

I am beautiful – there is no doubt in that. With my gray and cream coat, I’m the dilute tortie you’ve always dreamed of. And wouldn’t you agree that I am the most beautiful cat you’ve ever seen? (The correct answer is Yes, your royal highness!)

Let’s get started. First off, I am a cat who knows what I want. I’m what the people here at AWS call me a particular lady. And I’ll say, while that might sound mean-spirited to you, they are correct, and they are only saying it so that I can find the right home for me. You see, I like to call the shots, whether that means when I want to get petted, when I want you to sit next to me or when I’m ready for a meal. I am the Queen after all. And a Queen knows that she wants!

I can sometimes be a little over-exuberant when I am trying to tell you what I want, so you’ll want to make sure you’re watching for my cues. Don’t try to pick me up – I’m not a fan. Don’t try to snuggle with me, I’d rather sit near you, not on you! But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the same TV shows, how about indulging in a season or two of Bridgerton?

Now I’m not a sit-around-and-do-nothing kind of queen. I’m an active gal. I like to play with my subjects – er, I mean my people (older kids or adults only please, no little ones!), but you’ll have to do my bidding. Let’s play fetch right now! You throw the toy, I’ll bring it right back to you! Again and again and again. Have a cat nip pillow? Put that thing on the ground and let me show you who’s boss! The more toys, the happier I am.

I’d like to have several thrones in my home, one in each window, if you please so I can watch the world go by and indulge in some birdwatching. And while in some kingdoms it’s unheard of to have the Queen in the kitchen, I will never say no to a meal! (And some people seem to think I’ve had too many meals in my day, but I say poppycock to that!)
