Charlie
We adopted Charlie, a 6-1/2 year old Bichon mix, on July 10, 2014. There was very little information on him, and all we really knew was that he was a local surrender. He was quiet and somewhat anxious at first – he was a VERY fussy eater, which is how his anxiety came through most. We nurtured him along, had him attend the obedience class at AWS, and introduced him to other dogs of friends. By the end of August, he had come out of his shell, he was eating well and he was a happy, funny, affectionate and no longer a quiet little guy! He is adaptable and travels easily between our Shapleigh cabin and our home just outside of Boston. He loves to go out on his walks and he is a champion sniffer! He loves to cuddle and play with his toys and doggie friends. He gets along well with Linus our cat, for which we are thankful to him. He has brought incalculable joy to our lives and we can’t imagine life without him. Thanks to the AWS for bringing Charlie into our lives.
