Led by our team of professional trainers, these three week holiday-themed training classes are sure to keep your pup on the nice list while also teaching them valuable skills and lessons.
Plus, they’re tons of festive fun! Whether your dog is the littlest elf or has been pulling the sleigh for years, we have a class that’s designed for you! Don’t miss it!
We’re here to tell you what each class offers, and what your little reindeer are going to learn together! Each class is open to graduates of AWS Basic Training, an equivalent obedience/manners group class, or permission from the instructor unless otherwise specified! If any of the following classes sound like the one for your pup, sign up now before they fill up!
Santa’s Holiday Manners
Take your skills from Basic Training to another level in real life situations! The holidays are coming and there’s no time to waste getting your dog’s manners tuned up. Certified canine training instructor Melissa McCue-McGrath, PACT-ATI, ABTC-ATI, will help your dog tackle topics like counter surfing, jumping up on guests, and management skills. After all, good manners means your furry friend is sure to be on the nice list!
Rudolph’s Hide & Sniff *FULL*
Put your pup’s nose to work in this fun, engaging class inspired by the principles of scent work. Taking a more relaxed and playful approach to scent work, certified canine training instructor Brenda Horowitz, CPDT-KA, creates simple searches your dog will love! It’s a great way to build confidence, burn mental energy and enjoy quality time together, all while letting your dog’s instincts shine.
Rudolph’s Hide & Sniff is open to graduates or current enrollees of AWS Basic Training, as well as graduates of AWS Puppy Kindergarten. Dogs who have completed an equivalent obedience or manners class elsewhere are also welcome to join.
Comet’s Rapid Recall
Strengthen you and your companion’s recall skills in this festive class! Join certified canine training instructor Melissa McCue-McGrath, PACT-ATI, ABTC-ATI, and turn distractions into devotion this holiday season! Your dog will enjoy fun games and cheerful challenges designed to make coming when called a joy.
Vixen’s Sleigh Games
This class of holiday themed games will bring festive fun and good times! Lead by certified training instructor Laura DesMarais, CPDT-KA, Vixen’s Sleigh Games has fun games and a sprinkle of friendly competition. Play games like Tic-Tac-Toe, Spoon Race Relay and Deliver the Presents, all designed to include some agility, obedience and problem solving skills.
Dancer’s Tricks and Fun
Your dog will wow the crowd this holiday season after this class! Certified canine trainer Brenda Horowitz, CPDT-KA, will teach your dog tricks such as jumping through a wreath, rolling out the red carpet, and decorating the Christmas tree. These tricks are sure to delight your friends and family this holiday season!
Dasher’s Agility and Obstacles
Leap into the holidays with agility and obstacle games! Dash through the season while captivating your dog’s body and mind. This merry class is all about jingle bells and jumps. Taught by certified canine trainer Roberta Guertin, CPDT-KA, she will teach your canine how to conquer agility challenges like jumps, cavalettis, hoops, tables, and more. Naturally, these obstacles are all festively decorated!
Blitzen’s Basic Training Prep
Blitzen’s Basic Training Prep is designed for beginners and dogs over 20 weeks old. Take a festive spin on building focus, improving communication, and keeping your dog’s attention even in distracting environments. Led by certified canine trainer Brenda Horowitz, CPDT-KA, it’s a fun and supportive way to start training before the busy holiday season before AWS Basic Training resumes in the new year!
This class is an abbreviated version of AWS Basic Training, and does not require a prerequisite class.
Prancer’s Puppy Jump Start
Let your puppy prance around and have some holiday fun! The class focuses on safe socialization, confidence building and positive reinforcement training. Join certified canine trainer Brenda Horowitz, CPDT-KA, and learn how to manage and prevent problem puppy behaviors such as puppy biting and house training. It’s a great way to start working with your puppy!
Prancer’s Puppy Jump Start is open to puppies who are 8-19 weeks old at the start of class, and does not require a prerequisite class.
