Pons now Donzi

Pons has now become ‘Donzi’- a cross between Don Juan and Fonzi. He is a real ladies man, but more like loves all humans! We chose Donzi because he was the longest stay dog at the shelter and let’s face it, the old dogs need a break too! He was so handsome. I’m getting to be an ol’ gal myself, so his lifestyle matched our lifestyle. The adoption process was so easy. The staff at AWS knows the pets. They sent him home with his favorite toy and they educated us on how he walks and acts off and on a lead. All was insightful and spot on to his actions once we got him home! This shows the time and care given to the long-stay dogs. His behavior likes and dislikes were so spot on as well. Thank you Animal Welfare Society for helping us find our perfect match!!

While team #awsdog is celebrating their big win (after losing to team #awscat last year), all of us here at AWS is celebrating the support from our community. Amazingly, you all raised $17,904 in one day! This incredible sum will go provide for the dogs, cats and small animals in AWS’ care this time of year. We can’t thank our community enough for their kindness and generosity, not just on GivingTuesday but throughout the season of giving.If you gave to either team on GivingTuesday, we greatly appreciate your support!
