Together Through It All: May & Paris

Hi everyone, my name is Paris and it’s wonderful to meet you. I am here with my dear friend May, and we are hoping to tell you about what we’re looking for in a new home. As you may have already noticed, we are a unique pair of dogs. May is blind, and I am a hospice adoption, but I never let that stop me from having a good time. We are a devoted pair and care deeply about each other, so for this week’s Pet of the Week, let me tell you how we are together through it all!

A Bond Like No Other

May and I really are two peas in a pod. While May isn’t able to see, she finds her way with me right by her side. May loves when you hold her and “swims” through the air while you carry her. May and I are together through it all, and I am more than happy to stick close by her side helping guide her and make sure we’re always together! We rely on each other in ways that are hard to put into words, but easy to see when you meet us.

May and Paris’s Perfect Day

Our perfect day is a pretty simple one, and that’s just how we like them. A soft place to rest, a calm environment and someone nearby who cares deeply for us is all we need. We enjoy slow moments, quiet companionship and just being together. May and I are often found snuggling up together, or doing little trots together outside. Though sometimes I can’t help but have some old lady zoomies that leave May unimpressed. We don’t need much, just comfort, consistency and lots of love!

Their Ideal Home

We’re looking for a peaceful, low-key home that understands we’re in our golden years. While I like to think that I can handle everything for May, she can need help navigating the world from time to time. Both of us prefer a calm, easygoing environment where we can spend our days relaxing, cuddling and taking in the day together. What matters most to us is being together and having a family that will give us kindness and love in our golden years!

If you or someone you know is interested in adopting, come by the Adoption Center or give our friends a call at (207) 985-3244 and ask about their devoted duo May and Paris!
