Job Description
Our Summer Camp Assistant will work directly alongside our Youth Programs Coordinator, Miss Amanda, in helping with all things related to camp activities. These include but are not limited to:
- Chaperoning children on field trips off the AWS campus
- Assisting children with any/all needs or tasks
- Cleaning up our Youth Program’s Classroom at end of the day
- Handling/being around all types of animals
- Participating in presentations/projects to educate children
- Being able to stand for long periods and be outside in hot weather
During camp there are many scheduled field trips, fun crafts, activities, and presentations, and lots of time spent with various on-site and off-site animals. If you thrive in a busy, hands-on, and outdoors environment handling children and pets alike, we want to hear from you!
Hours
AWS Summer Camp runs for 7 weeks starting June 24 and ending August 16, with the week of July 1 – 5 off. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Camp takes place inside and outside as well as on and off the AWS campus. If you’re enthusiastic, outgoing, and fun, we want to hear from you!
