The Key to Piper’s Heart

Hi friends! I’m Piper. I’m here to tell you a little bit about myself because I’m looking for a new family to live with. And until I am adopted, I’m staying with my awesome foster family. I’m going so share with you the keys to my heart. I’m thinking that once you read this blog, you’ll think, “Wow! What a great gal! I have the keys to Piper’s heart right here in my home! She should come live with me!” And then you’ll adopt me!

The First Key!

And once we’re friends, there is sooooooooo much we can do together! We can go for nice long walks. Don’t worry – I’ll lead the way. I love to let my nose take the lead on walks. I love to explore every nook and cranny and spend as much time as I can in the great outdoors.

The most important thing to know about me is that I am loving and loyal. I love my people! Really, I love all people, though sometimes it takes a wee bit of time for me to feel comfortable around new folks. But just a wee bit of time, which means not much time at all. In fact, if you have a treat when we first meet, it’ll take NO time for us to be friends. To be honest, treats are the key to my heart!

The Second Key!

What else can we do together? We can go swimming!!!!! Yes, please take me to the water. I love water! River – love it! Lake – love it! Ocean – love it too! Pool – oh boy, is a pool fun, especially the big ones! Not that a little kiddy pool isn’t fine for splashing around.  I’ve included some photos of me and water. BOY I can’t tell you how much I love it! Taking me to play in the water is another key to my heart, just in case you run out of treats!

The Third Key!

And, that’s not all we can do outdoors. I have heard my friends at AWS talk about “bubbles.” I guess that’s what you call those fun, nearly see-through round things that float in the air. When there are a bunch of them for me to chase, I love it! What’s so funny is that as soon as I get close, they 💥 POOF💥 disappear! I could spend the day outside with you and bubbles. So there’s another key – bubbles. We have treats, water and bubbles as ways to win my heart!

See Me on TV!

So what about indoors, where we will live. What do I like in there? Well, rather than tell you what I like, can I tell you what I don’t like? I don’t like sharing my space with other pets. Dogs or cats. Cats are just too interesting to chase, I admit, I can’t help myself. And dogs, well, I’d rather not have to share my toys or my food bowl, you know. I don’t mind meeting dogs when we’re outside, like on walks and stuff, it’s just indoors where I prefer my own space. And you can get that, right? I mean, you don’t like another human eating off your plate, do you?

I’m sorry this is getting so long. I just love sharing with you! Snuggling with my people or curling up for a good nap in a warm, cozy spot are two of my favorite things. I love to watch TV in the evenings to unwind after a long and eventful day, and enjoy the company of my people. Speaking of TV, I was on TV the other day. In case you missed it, here’s the clip!

(See how the ladies have treats for me? They knew how to win my heart!)

So there you have it, me, Piper, full of spunk, adventure, fun, love, loyalty, beauty and pizzazz! The key thing to take away from this blog is that I’m awesome and I have a big and loving heart! If you think you’d like me to come live with you and to shower you with love and affection, what are you waiting for?

Call AWS at (207) 985-3244 and they will schedule an appointment for my foster mom to bring me to the Adoption Center so we can meet right away!
